Renato Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Sharing the info to the questions asked and also made a new topic as requested ONU /GPON provided by ISP is a KingType GPNC14 on bridge mode with a public ip assigned to the R3 Mac address bellow the router R3 Is configured with static IP no dmz no upnp Only 2 devices are connected to the R3 my gaming pc and my work pc never use both at the same time 260 megas Yes I use 250 on the speedtest Congestion control set to 70% on both up and down Smart boost is set activities: 1 gaming 2 call of duty (series) 3 video and streaming and 4 work from home Devices: 1 gaming pc 2 work pc Call of duty Black ops 7 and warzone PC game pass ethernet cat5e Yes geo filter is set up: geo latency off PC set as console on device manager Port forwarded tcp and udp for COD Duma OS version: 4.0.1147 App version: v4. 0.283 Also let me know if you need screenshots from pingplotter to help identify the problem or any other picture Sorry for the late reply btw The fix of putting the pc Mac address on the router Mac address cloning helped to partially solve the issue but now I'm back to constant packet loss on every single match Also no servers are shown for Florida only Atlanta and Washington (haven't tried those) Tried playing connected to my ISP onu and didn't got packet loss only very high ping spikes from 25 to 80 in the same second and going crazy
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 1 hour ago Administrators Posted 1 hour ago If you're getting those ping spikes directly connected to the ONU when there is no possibility of local devices interfering then that's something you'll need to rectify with the ISP first as the router won't be able to help with inherent instability. Set the MAC address of the R3 to the MAC of the ONU instead and see if that helps. Where are you measuring the packet loss? It's very bizarre with only a few devices and only being used one at a time that you're getting packet loss. I really would suggest you explore the ping spikes with the ISP first as its likely the loss is related as well, even if you didn't see it in that testing session.
