Okay so you're in the Virgin Islands, that's interesting, surprising you're not getting the same results straight to the modem. Can you take the modem out of bridge mode, put the R3 in its DMZ instead please and repeat the test?

I found the problem. Since I’m running a static ip address I had to put my pc MAC address in r3 MAC address cloning. I don’t know how it changed or what happened but it worked fine before. Took me some time to figure it out. I now have 0 packet loss. Thanks for all your help

Some connections kind of internally whitelist MAC addresses that can be used - usually to prevent people using third party routers, so presumably that's why it has worked, doesn't make sense otherwise. I suspect it would work better then in the DMZ configuration I mentioned as well as that wouldn't be a factor. Thanks for the update & solution!

Hello Fraser, I had the same issue than Ceez and was able to solve the packet loss which I was getting like 10% packet loss by adding my pc Mac address to the r3 Mac address cloning, thanks btw Ceez, however I'm still having ping/lag spikes on every match I usually play on Florida servers so I start at 25ms and then spikes to 50ms up to 80ms sometimes at 80 I get 1% packet loss, I play on pc by any chance do you know what could be causing this issue?, also the map is not showing any servers on Florida, weird...

It would be best if you made a new topic for this, include the answers to these questions there:

  • What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
  • Are ALL devices connected to the R3?
  • What are the speeds you pay for/receive?
  • Have you entered those speeds into the router?
  • How have you setup Congestion Control?
  • How have you setup SmartBOOST?
  • What game are you playing?
  • What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi?
  • How have you setup the Geo-Filter?
