XR1000 won't connect to cameras or appliances

I am at my wits end trying to figure out this router. I had a cheap little netgear router before and it worked great but we wanted to upgrade to a gaming router. When we first cranked up the router it let me see the video stream from my mobicam camera and my owlet. It kept disconnecting the camera feed though. The next day it wouldnt connect at all. The cameras gave me an error like the wifi was blocked. I also can't connect some of my appliances anymore. I'm using the 2.4ghz band with wpa2-personal as the security method. Smart connect is turned off. Same settings I used with my old router. I don't understand why it connected to the cameras when I first turned the router on and now won't. I contacted owlet support and owlet seems to think the router is blocking the camera but had no further advice. It connected to my lights but that's it. If anyone could give me anything to try that would be awesome. 
Someone suggested connecting to my guest network but that didn't work either.

In WAN Settings set NAT to Open, does that allow it to work?
