Kazirikov Posted Monday at 07:34 PM Posted Monday at 07:34 PM Hello, I am having issues constantly with the R3 router when playing Warframe online. I cannot stay connected to the chat module in game. I've tried virtually everything I have read online with the settings to fix this issue but I have given up after weeks. I reset to factory settings today and the issue is obviously persisting. I really do not want to swap routers but every "fix" I've tried has made things worse on my home network. Any assistance would be appreciated, if there is anything I can provide to help solve this please let me know.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Monday at 08:25 PM Administrators Posted Monday at 08:25 PM Are you using the Geo-Filter? If so, with it disabled do you get the same issue?
Kazirikov Posted yesterday at 03:42 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:42 AM I have tried it with it on and with it off. Both give me the error in game.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 15 hours ago Administrators Posted 15 hours ago Have you tried connected directly to your ISP modem/router to see if it works/if this is a specific R3 issue?
Kazirikov Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago I've used 2 other routers with this exact setup including an older nighthawk router and the issue does not occur. I'm trying to avoid having to rent another router from my ISP after purchasing the R3.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 11 hours ago Administrators Posted 11 hours ago Does that mean that the R3 is directly connected to an ONT/pure modem rather than an ISP router that has WiFi? Do you have an Open NAT? You may need to port forward the game regardless
Kazirikov Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago The R3 is connected to the modem provided by my ISP. There is no other equipment between them. I just ran a test using port forwarding with the specified ports I indicated in game. The error persists.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 10 hours ago Administrators Posted 10 hours ago It could be potentially because you have IPv6 chat enabled which judging by your IP you're not using IPv6 - IPv6 is also disabled by default on the R3 which may be where the two are colliding. Disable that and see if it works please
