Namamai Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Hello I lived in SEA and I have a friend to get Netduma R3 to solved his gaming issues. I told my friend that lived in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia to get Netduma for playing Where Winds Meet because he got Ping Issues. He Played on PS5 and already buy Netduma and reach his home today. I tried to helped him to setup but the GeoFilter Doesn't work and it still tried to connect to NA and not Singapore. Is there a way to solved it? We tried to reconnect the Netduma, reset the internet connection on PS5, restart the PS5, plug in and out the router.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 14 hours ago Administrators Posted 14 hours ago What do you mean it's not working exactly? Filtering is disabled there so it wouldn't be getting servers within the radius
Namamai Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago We already tried to active it, But it still doesn't work. The Ping doesn't improve.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 14 hours ago Administrators Posted 14 hours ago The ping would improve if they were not connecting to Aus servers before, if they were and they still are then there is unlikely to be much of a ping change just by covering the servers usually played on. Is an icon actually appearing on the map/within the radius when playing? It would also be easier if they engaged with us directly so they could answer these questions more easily such as: What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? How is the PS5 connected, via ethernet or WiFi?
Namamai Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago 1.) Model of old router: DLINK DIR-X3260 2.) Yes, nothing is currently connected to the old router. 3.) 200mbps up and down. 4.) During setup, speed test was done. 5.) What is congestion control? Pretty sure it hasn't been set up 6.) Gaming > VPN > Video and streaming. 7.) Ethernet Also the target server is Singapore
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 13 hours ago Administrators Posted 13 hours ago Just to clarify, the R3 is connected to the DLINK? If so has it been put in modem/bridge mode or has the R3 been put in its DMZ? Did the speed test report and set 200/200? Congestion Control is what Ping Optimizer would have adjusted if you completed it, did you run that? If so what does Congestion Control show (Ping Optimizer > Advanced). Are you applying a VPN to the console? If you're trying to force Singapore then you need to cover only that area, not Australia as well.
Namamai Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago Yes, the R3 is connected to the DLINK. Right now my friend is trying to put it on bridge mode again cause he did something and it stopped working right now still waiting for my friend No VPN on console Okay I will try only Singapore and see if it works
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 12 hours ago Administrators Posted 12 hours ago Okay keep us posted with how you get on
