truck0331 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Hello, I currently use a xr1000v2 and I have had it for about 3 years I believe. It's starting to have major software malfunctions. Even after several factory resets, the congestion control auto setup and built in network test causes the router to lose connection to my modem. I am considering upgrading to the R3 but it is a couple years old at this point. Is it worth upgrading to an R3 or should I wait for the R4 if that is coming soon? Is there anything i can do to fix the software on my xr1000v2?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 18 hours ago Administrators Posted 18 hours ago That's not a malfunction, it's designed to disconnect everything from the internet when running the test. You don't need to do the tests everyday. You can also test your speed elsewhere and adjust the speed on the router if needed and adjust Congestion Control which is what the Auto Setup does.

Hm well whenever it finishes nothing changes? Everything stays at 100% and it gives me no information on the tests
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 17 hours ago Administrators Posted 17 hours ago It's not always reliable as the servers used are hardcoded on the router but they do change. Best to change/find the percentages that work best for you manually
