Battlefield 6 Geofilter

I'm having an issue where I try to use the geofilter in BF6 and the game freezes upon finding a match. Is there a way to circumvent this? The closest server to me is Chicago, but the game constantly puts me in California, Oklehoma, Virginia, etc. Ping does not seem to be king with this game, and it doesn't seem to like the geofilter either, which is why it sucks so badly that I can't use it lol
