Choosing a PC device for Geo-Filter

Can we just choose our PC as the device to add for Geo Filtering now or do we still need to set it as a console? I remmeber this was a thing a while back.

 

I want to filter to USA for Black Ops 7, it's been a while since i've done this so just checking if anything has changed? Cheers

I would still recommend it, the services can get out of date very quickly so it's just easier for you this way

Okay, i just select xbox or Playstation (or was it just Games Console?) as the device type here, correct? Then reboot

It doesn't matter really it just needs to be one of those, I just say PlayStation as it's the first available console option. You don't need to reboot, just ensure you've set up the Geo-Filter before launching the game client (e.g. Steam etc - make sure it's not just minimized to the System Tray) & game.

I haven't yet tried to filter to another region yet but just wondering, is this normal?

That's an anomaly you can ignore that, it does look like the Geo-Filter has been enabled after the game launch? You shouldn't see all servers with a white circle really

Ok. And yeah, i'm only geetting servers within the circled region so all is good that end. I'll use the custom one tonight to see if it works in putitng me in USA once i've circled those servers

Does this look right? Is this connecting me to a server outside of my geo filter?
