cbntlg Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM Hi, I am on a Vodafone FF 500 plan and get over 500 mbs down and ~70 up, wired via CAT6 cables. I get over 500 down wireless to the Vodafone wifi from all devices, but only ~200 to the Netduma wifi. I have a Netduma r2 on software version 4.0.258. It's connected to a Vodafone Power Hub. My WAN IP and Public IP are both in the Vodafone Power Hub's DMZ. Anybody know what I need to do to get my Netduma wifi speed to match that of my ISP's wifi? Thanks, in advance.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 11:05 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 11:05 PM The WAN IP from the R2 is in the DMZ? The power hub is a WiFi 6 router and the R2 is a WiFi 5 router so the power hub is better for WiFi so getting the same speeds may be difficult. ALL devices should be connected to the R2 though otherwise they can take speeds away from it. Try these suggestions: Split the bands, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
