Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 9 hours ago Administrators Posted 9 hours ago It will automatically switch you to the appropriate band based on need, higher bandwidth applications will use 5GHz and lower will use 2.4GHz mostly. If you want to have choice over which you connect to then you'll have to split the bands and connect to 5GHz specifically.
Robert Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago Hi Fraser thanks for getting back so quickly the router has never done anything like this before even with alot of connections going through it i have always remained on the 5ghz band and also the same when there's not alot going through it has only really started dropping my console more recently and when it happens it doesn't balance out i end up with the game sticking and juddering when i try to play i did put a copy of the logs for you to have a nosey at incase there was anything out of the ordinary as a say it's never been an issue previously.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 7 hours ago Administrators Posted 7 hours ago Well I can't speak to how it behaved previously, I can just tell you that it will automatically switch, based on necessity, things like speed, stability etc and the only way to pick is to split the bands and connect specifically to the one you want
