Skababblz Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Hello I wanted to request help in setting up an open nat type for cod bo6 using an xr1000 alongside a resident access point in my home. The ISP is ATNT, there is no separate modem or router that was provided, it’s just an access point in the hardwired in the unit, and a login portal they provide to add device MAC addresses. I’ve tried adding the xr1000 to the portal, enabled upnp in the portal and in duma os, and have activated the xr1000 as a dmz in the portal as well but still have a strict NAT. There is no option to add the WAN IP, only activate the Xr1000 as DMZ in the portal im not sure if there needs to be additional or different configuring with the access point to the xr1000 but I’ve spent 6 hours messing with it back and fourth and nothing. I will note the portal shows the access point has its own MAC address/private IP and the xr1000 has a public and private IP in the ATNT portal so idk if I’m needing to input the addresses in the portal to Duma os or vice versa. any help will truly be appreciated

Skababblz Posted Tuesday at 04:39 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 04:39 PM Still shows strict on my pc and ps5 pro after changing wan settings on the xr to open.😶 should I be changing the default DMZ server ip
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Tuesday at 05:09 PM Administrators Posted Tuesday at 05:09 PM No that's not needed, I think you may struggle to get an Open NAT - connect the PS5 direct to the AP, do you get an Open NAT on the game then?
Skababblz Posted Tuesday at 05:46 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 05:46 PM Nat type still shows strict when plugging into the AP. I’ve had it work in the past and nat was open in a different Ethernet port in the house so I know it’s possible. I’m not sure if something was reset on their isp side or changing the Ethernet port locked something At the time all I did was port forward for bo6 on the xr , is there anything specific I should ask the isp technician to look at or change on their end?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Tuesday at 07:31 PM Administrators Posted Tuesday at 07:31 PM If you're getting a strict NAT direct to the AP then that will need to be sorted first before you're able to get an Open NAT through the router. Just explain the issue you're having, don't mention the router, just say it's happening when your device is directly connected to the AP
Skababblz Posted Tuesday at 07:33 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 07:33 PM Got it I have a tech coming soon and will check back after plugging to the AP once it’s off strict and see if same issues still happen thanks for all you Fraser Netduma Fraser 1
