Declassied Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I am experiencing constant connectivity issues where the Wi-Fi and internet drop off for a couple of minutes and then come back. I've set the lease time to 168 hours, assigned static IPs to my main devices, and turned off IPv6. Logs.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14 Administrators Posted September 14 What do you mean by constant, how often is it happening? At least from the limited log it looks like your public IP changed which caused it. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
Declassied Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 I was having this issue for a couple of months now and I thought that it was optimum dropping internet connection so I switched to Verizon for fiber internet and I opted out of getting a router with Verizon so I only have a modern with no router or WiFi capabilities. Also I have the r2 and as for how constant it happens sometimes it will be back to back and sometimes I’ll be fine for a week.
Declassied Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Here’s the model for the modern ALCATEL-7342L.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14 Administrators Posted September 14 Do you require VLAN or PPPoE for a connection? I've given you Early Access so you can try that firmware and see if it works better for you https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access
Declassied Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 I'll try it out and let you know if it happens again. Also, i don't require a VLAN or PPPoE for connection. Netduma Fraser 1

Declassied Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 Hey team, I've been testing the beta for a while, and it initially resolved my issue. However, I am now experiencing a new problem where the Wi-Fi connectivity drops, but my PC still has internet access, which is wired directly by Ethernet. I've also noticed that I can't leave the Wi-Fi channel options set to automatic, as that causes additional issues with connectivity. I have attached the logs from the latest occurrence. CaSpA Posted Tuesday at 02:50 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:50 PM @Netduma Fraser The WiFi dropping constantly just happened to me this morning. All wired connections were still good but every wireless device would connect and disconnect repeatedly. From the router’s menu I rebooted and that seemed to solve the problem for now. Haven’t had this issue before but wanted to chime in that it also happened to me. I’ve attached the logs as I don’t consider myself as tech savvy anymore and I have no idea why it happened. I am on the latest update 4.0.645 R3_2025-09-30T14:46:25.747Z_logs.txt

Declassied Posted Tuesday at 03:26 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 03:26 PM Hello team, I’ve tried the suggestions that you gave me and it ended up not solving the issue. I ended up doing a factory reset but that just made the problems worse, router would restart and the duma interface wouldn’t come out and started giving me errors, and I spent the whole day unplugging it and doing factory resets. In the end it came back and I was able to get the WiFi back up but the same issues occurred. At that point I have people in my house that rely on the WiFi for tv and their phones and devices so I ended up buying another router. I wanted to stick with duma until the end but the unreliability over these past few months pushed me to buy another router. For now it’ll sit in the box in the closet and maybe in the future I’ll revisit Dumas products.
