I have a Netgear Nighthawk XR500 running DumaOS V2.3.3.136. I have traditionally only used the Nighthawk app and have kept the firmware up to date. I haven't had any issues since setup. Today I needed to access the web interface to configure QoS and I could not get the webapp to load any content, other than the Settings. All of the screens were telling me that a RAPP had not yet loaded, but they never in fact loaded. I tried rebooting and the behavior did not change.

I found a thread saying that firmware V2.1.0.4 resolved that issue, so I downgraded to that using the web interface, and then started getting this message on every page:

You are no longer connected to your router. If your router is rebooting then keep this page open as it will automatically reconnect to the router's interface when the reboot is complete. Otherwise please check your connection e.g. you are connected to the correct router.

I tried to do a factory reset by using a pin to hold the button down for >30 seconds, but when the device came back online it seemed to be back at V2.3.3.136 (and my network names were all still there - suggesting that it didn't factory reset?). The device is serving up a connection, but the entire DumaOS interface is inaccessible and just responding with the message above about no longer being connected to the router.

How do I fix this?

You wouldn't need to downgrade, the latest firmware would have changes from all the previous versions. Are you connecting to it via ethernet or WiFi? If you access using 192.168.1.1 instead does that work?

@Netduma Fraser - Thank you for your fast response. I figured downgrading wasn't necessary, but I thought it worth a shot all the same. I am connected via WiFi. Using the IP address results in the same erroneous behavior.

@Netduma Fraser Thank you again for your reply and assistance. How do you recommend that I upgrade to the firmware you specified if I cannot use the web interface to do so?

Also, the post you linked to references 3.3.535, but the file linked to download (after intermediary version) has 2.3.2.134 in the filename. Is that correct?

You mentioned you were able to downgrade previously/that you can access settings so you can do so from there. Otherwise routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm will take you to a version of just the NTGR settings pages.

3.3.535 is the DumaOS version, 2.3.2.134 is the firmware version, it is correct
