Emaginary Posted September 11 Posted September 11 What's the best xr500 firmware out there that doesn't have wifi dropping constantly. Currently on XR500 V2.3.4.148
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 11 Administrators Posted September 11 How often is WiFi dropping connection? Is it occurring during heavy downloads, when the network is quiet etc?

Also, on QOS I'm getting ''device not found'' as well Did it happen during a heavy download, when the network was quiet etc? Is Smart Connect enabled or disabled? If it happens again please grab the log from the System Information page, that will give us an indication of what may be happening. For Device Not Found: It's likely a device from the Device Manager has been deleted that was added to Traffic Prioritization on the QoS page. You have two options to remove the error and restore functionality: Factory reset Reconnect the device to the router via the same method (ethernet or WiFi), give it the same name as you had previously in the Device Manager as well as give it the same device type in the Device Manager

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 11 Administrators Posted September 11 Under what circumstances did it disconnect? Did all devices disconnect? Either factory reset from Settings > Administration > Backup Settings > Erase then close the tab, wait 4 minutes then access or make sure for the hardware method that its definitely the button where you put a thin tool like a pin in to hold the button, hold for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then access.

Factory reset fixed! I had to do the first and second one you reccomended. If the internet drops again in the future, can I send a PM with the logs?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 11 Administrators Posted September 11 Good to hear! No need to PM you can put it here but if you really want to PM you can just make sure to post here that you've done so otherwise I may miss it
