New Netduma R3 with latest Firmware .540 keeps droping Internet Conecction after a while

Hi, 

I bought a netduma r3, am using it with Ppoe wit username and password from my Fiber Glas company ONGT provided, everything works fine but every night around 22:00 PM the internet goes down and doesnt work again unless I restart the R3 Router...... am lost what is going on?? 

i will post the log in here if someone sees something weird. PLZ need help

Looks like your public IP might be changing but you shouldn't need to reboot to restore it, how long have you waited before rebooting? Reboot the router just before you go to sleep tonight and see if 2 mornings from now you wake up without internet

I went to sleep and the next day still didnt have internet conection also it doesnt fix by it self until I restart the router ( R3)

Are you able to have another router handle PPPoE instead of the R3 and see if that resolves it?

yes I have another one, but then I get double Nat in the games, and the conection isnt the best....and also the provided router from the company only gives me 1 Giabit Lan port, all the others are 100mbit ports

1. You'd put the R3 in the DMZ on the other router - that would eliminate the double NAT
2. You'd have all devices connect to the R3 which would improve the connection
3. You only need the 1 port to be used to connect the R3 to it

I can try what you said, but there is no DMZ option in the other router,or at least I couldnt find it, the only thing that lets me use is some sort of setting that says "let the pc (this ip) totally exposed to the internet ".....is that the DMZ setting? because it doesnt says it explicity

Most likely yes but if you select the R3 then it has its own firewall so is safe to do so

I will try it, I think is a pretty big issue that the router doesnt work properly as the old one I had (xr500), also the internet drops when I turn my main PC off.....is weird but it also happens, the only thing I did was to put my main IP in the DMZ server so I could get an open NAT in CAll of duty, any clue why would it be the case?

If its the PPPoE issue then you're only the second person to report it so not a widespread issue but it is being looked into. The internet dropping when you turn your PC off makes no networking sense whatsoever so I can't even begin to determine why that might be happening at the moment. The R3 WAN IP into the DMZ correct?

hi it is me again, i did what you said but also fixed the maximum MTU number to 1472 and it seems to help, now is dropping internet in some certain pages only ( maybe dns ipv6 problem?), also it kinda fixed cloning the mac adress from the internet router to the R3 router, it might seem that the internet provider wanted me to use their router not any other router and they were disconnecting my internet conection at certain times of the day ( or at least thats what I think), now I only have the problem that after a few hours the internet stop working on some internet pages like reddit o x.com, but it doesnt happen over wifi when using their native app, it only fails in my computer browser ( I tried brave edge and chrome with no succes) any suggestion?

Are you using an Adblocker at all or the Adblocker on the router itself?

adblocker is off on the router as well in the browser, when I restart the router everything comes back normal but after a while I start dropping internet connection to certain internet pages as I said  sometimes it seem like it fixes by it self others it doesnt

Is there any pattern you can determine as to when it happens? It's very unusual for that kind of behavior to be a router specific issue

no, I've tried to see what produces it but until now I dont know really, next time it crashes am gonna look for the logs

Yeah provide the logs when it happens again, it's unlikely anything will show but worth a try

Também possuo problemas de desconexões diariamente e tenho ip fixo, também estou em PPPoE. Já tentei de tudo, dmz, acerto de meu, desligar e ligar advlocker.Nada resolveu. Não só eu. Mas várias outras pessoas passam pelo mesmo problema em PPPoE. A netduma ainda não resolveu o problema e ainda não tem previsão para solução do problema.

They're getting the issue with & without PPPoE so it's not a PPPoE specific issue, we will fix the specific PPPoE issue

it happened again, in the logs it says it lost its connection on WAN, here are the logs maybe you can find where the issue might be

It looks like you're using PPPoE again, are you not using the other method metioned before? That would be better to do - we're already aware of a PPPoE issue so if you're getting it without using that, that's what we need to diagnose

I havent fully given up on the r3 as PPoE since I also have a NAS that I regularly use, and with the method you tell me it doesnt work properly, maybe am doing some thing wrong for sure and also the double NAT thing bothers me, when I have enough time I will try using the other method you told me

The expose option is what you want to use for the DMZ aspect I mentioned, that will resolve the double NAT. If you've been using PPPoE this whole time then it's likely the PPPoE issue we're aware of in which case that will need a fix. 

What's the NAS issue?
