Emmanuel Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Hi, I just bought a used Netduma R2. The first thing I did was perform a factory reset. I can't get my Netduma to work, and here's the problem: 1. The 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi LEDs are on as soon as I plug in the Netduma. I connect via phone and can access the WiFi. Then I try to log in to the duma os app, entering the admin password, but it gives me an error message saying "incorrect credentials." 2. Every time I try to log in to the WiFi from my PC, the WiFi LEDs immediately turn off and the WiFi no longer works. 3. If I try to log in via Ethernet cable, the WiFi LEDs turn off immediately, but I can access the internet via cable. I try to log in to 192.168.77.1 or http://dumaos, but the website doesn't load... Do you have any help for me?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 22 hours ago Administrators Posted 22 hours ago There are a couple of scenarios here: You've not factory reset the router correctly which is why the credentials are showing that they're incorrect - it's the button that you'll need a thin object like a pin to press, hold for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then attempt access via the mobile app only. The WiFi turning off when you try to access via a web browser indicates either the power it's getting isn't enough - try direct to an outlet if using an extender or try with another adapter if possible. Otherwise you may need to upgrade/downgrade the firmware but you'll need to do #1 for that. The unit is faulty and you should return it to the person you purchased from
Emmanuel Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Okay, it's also strange that the Wi-Fi doesn't turn on every time I restart Netduma, but only after 10 minutes of being off. If I unplug it for 1 minute and plug it back in, the Wi-Fi doesn't work.
