Zeroed84 Posted Thursday at 08:02 AM Posted Thursday at 08:02 AM My xr500 won't connect to the Internet I've put modem/router in bridge mode and have a static IP address I've factory reset the xr500 and rebooted both and done the setup and no Internet connection
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM Administrators Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM Did you have internet through it before putting your ISP modem/router in bridge mode? Do you know if you require PPPoE/VLAN or DHCP Identifiers for a connection? What static IP did you enter and where did you enter it? Zeroed84 1
Zeroed84 Posted Thursday at 02:26 PM Author Posted Thursday at 02:26 PM Yes I had Internet before I don't believe I need pppoe or vlan not sure on DHCP identifiers and IP entered in the fixed Internet IP settings when was doing automatic setup
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 03:02 PM Administrators Posted Thursday at 03:02 PM Don't set a static IP, unless you pay for a static IP from your internet provider it may not always be the correct IP. Check your ISP modem/router to see if it's using PPPoE/VLAN etc and then mirror that in the XR if needed. Otherwise after ensuring you're not using a static IP and it has just got the information automatically, reboot the modem, wait 2 minutes, reboot the XR from the interface, wait 4 minutes then access and check internet.
