Bluemelalex51 Posted Wednesday at 12:18 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:18 AM Hello!, I have been struggling with very low download speeds and have no clue why. My with my ISP I have 1,000MBPS down and only get 540MBPS top. I have tried so many settings on my Gaming PC network adapter and nothing is working. I used to get 900MBPS+ doesn't matter now if QOS is off and Geo filter is off I do not get over 540MBPS. I am getting very frustrated with my R3 router and looking for any help here. I have Spectrum for my ISP and have the R3 hooked up to an Arris S33 modem. Any help here is greatly appreciated.

Where are you testing the speeds? Do other wired devices get higher speeds through the R3? The speeds were in the 900sMBPS before I tried chasing my tail with the network adapter settings. I really just turned off any green ethernet settings and set my Speed and Duplex to 1.0gbps. I tried wired to my laptop and speeds are the same. I'm thinking about doing a full reset on the router to see if that will help. The slow speeds started happening after I updated to the latest version. I am testing the speeds with speed test.com on my gaming PC. You can see in the images the netduma speed test I get a lot higher speeds (I have turn off speed test bypass turned on as well). Is there anything I am missing? Are you able to remote in and assist me with this before I factory reset my router.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 02:19 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 02:19 PM Okay does another wired device have the same issue then if the only difference between good & bad speeds is the adapter changes? I'd first suggest reverting your adapter settings to their defaults and check again. Just to clarify, is speed test bypass on or off? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? We don't provide that kind of support and shouldn't be necessary in this case
Bluemelalex51 Posted Friday at 02:42 PM Author Posted Friday at 02:42 PM The laptop has the same speeds maxing out about 560MBPS, I have reset my network adapter to default and still having the same speeds. Yes speed bypass is off. My modem is an Arris R33 Docsis 3.1 Modem. I am unsure how to setup DMZ/ Bridge mode. That would be good to know how to do if you could assist me with that. All my devices at home are connected to the R3. I pay for 1,000 MBPS down and 40MBPS up Yes, I have entered those speeds directly into the router. I have tried congestion control both on and off and still get the same capped speeds of 570MBPS Max. Yes, Smart boost is also enabled. Appreciate the help here I sure hope I can get this slow speed issue figured out.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 02:51 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 02:51 PM Okay no need for bridge/DMZ, you're using a pure modem so that's fine. Speed Test bypass should be enabled, then test again. How is SmartBOOST enabled exactly?
Bluemelalex51 Posted Friday at 02:55 PM Author Posted Friday at 02:55 PM I have it set as my gaming PC to be the only priority. Please attached image. I also have speed test bypass off as you can see in the image as well. Even with these settings I am still getting 560MBPS.Any other ideas causing this issue?
