Billz Posted Tuesday at 01:58 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:58 AM Recently I have been getting terrible bufferbloat results with my XR1000. This has especially been an issue when playing a particular game. Any advice on router settings to mitigate this issue? https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=f99cbde6-c55f-445f-8674-c620c8d053bc
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Tuesday at 02:20 PM Administrators Posted Tuesday at 02:20 PM What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control?
Billz Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM Author Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM I have a Spectrum ES2251 Modem, with my XR1000 connected to it. My PC is wired to the XR1000, and I use a few other devices over WIFI, all of which are connected. I have never messed with modem settings. I pay for 600/20. Download is usually a little higher (say 630), and upload is in that range. I have manually entered and alsoused NETDUMA tools to detect these speeds. I have played around with congestion control but it doesnt seem to have solved the issue.
