CARL0S714 Posted Friday at 06:11 PM Posted Friday at 06:11 PM Hey guys, just upgraded to fiber! I want to continue to use my XR1000 router with this new internet provider but unfortunately they use a completely different set of hardware and I am unsure how to access the settings or setup my XR1000 like I did with my ATT internet. I essentially would like to IP pass through to my XR1000 like I did with my old internet to allow me to utilize the full range of features XR1000 has to offer and get rid of my NAT while gaming. Would it be possible to get some insight on this matter?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 06:21 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 06:21 PM The new ISP modem/router should have come with a card or guide to let you know how to access but if not there should be a sticker on the underside with the info. Otherwise you'll have to lookup the model to find out. Modem/bridge/passthrough are options you're looking for, alternatively you can put the XR WAN IP in its DMZ to achieve a similar effect.
