CARL0S714 Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Hey guys, just upgraded to fiber! I want to continue to use my XR1000 router with this new internet provider but unfortunately they use a completely different set of hardware and I am unsure how to access the settings or setup my XR1000 like I did with my ATT internet. I essentially would like to IP pass through to my XR1000 like I did with my old internet to allow me to utilize the full range of features XR1000 has to offer and get rid of my NAT while gaming. Would it be possible to get some insight on this matter?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 15 Administrators Posted August 15 The new ISP modem/router should have come with a card or guide to let you know how to access but if not there should be a sticker on the underside with the info. Otherwise you'll have to lookup the model to find out. Modem/bridge/passthrough are options you're looking for, alternatively you can put the XR WAN IP in its DMZ to achieve a similar effect.
CARL0S714 Posted August 20 Author Posted August 20 Okay thank you, I managed to set up my router close to how I had it before. I know have one more question, I have my internet connection for fiber at 1g but my XR1000 only shows 100 mbps and won’t allow anything over. Would you be able to provide insight on how to change this setting or allow the additional speeds through?

If you've set the speeds into the router then it is very likely the ethernet cable you're using to connect the XR to the modem or the XR to a device is limited to 100Mbps. A higher category cable - at least Cat5e will allow for 1Gbps.

Side note, I can not access the router settings via the web and I have been having to use the App to access the router settings, is there a reason why the web settings are not accessible?

Swap the cable just incase it is faulty. By web do you mean when you're not home or just literally through the internet browser you can't access it? What address are you using to access? Routerlogin.net / 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 should work
