gearsniper550 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 for some reason at random times im losing internet when i look at the network it says nothing for the ethernet port where the duma is supposed to be listed butthe wifi is still on and the light for my pc connection goes in and out a few times and then it comes back, i dont know what could be causing it.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 14 Administrators Posted August 14 What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Do you have internet on that modem/router when it happens? Please provide the log from Settings > Troubleshooting if it happens again
gearsniper550 Posted August 14 Author Posted August 14 its connected to a verizon router i dont know the name of it but it looks like an xbox x. I have internet on the router its just the r3 that goes out for a few minutes repeatedly. R3_2025-08-14T21_09_00.442Z_logs.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 14 Administrators Posted August 14 In DHCP Advanced change the DHCP lease time to 10000 reboot from the interface and then see if it happens again please

gearsniper550 Posted August 26 Author Posted August 26 yeah it happened again heres the logs R3_2025-08-26T04_30_40.477Z_logs.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 26 Administrators Posted August 26 Likely the DHCP lease then, you shouldn't get a disconnect every time/it should reconnect very quickly but you can instead assign reserved IPs for devices in DHCP settings which should prevent it permanently
gearsniper550 Posted August 26 Author Posted August 26 how do i do that sorry ive never had this problem before
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 26 Administrators Posted August 26 Settings > DHCP > Add Rule > Select Device > Save Then repeat for each device
gearsniper550 Posted August 29 Author Posted August 29 it happened again while i was playing halo a few minutes ago heres the logs R3_2025-08-29T02_37_55.582Z_logs.txt

If so the port showed it disconnected for 3 seconds but doesn't specifically say why so could be an external cause this time, continue monitoring and see if it happens again please
gearsniper550 Posted August 29 Author Posted August 29 its doing it again but it wont even connect to the internet now the light goes in and out now
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 29 Administrators Posted August 29 I can see the internet definitely went out this time. On the Verizon router give the R3 a static/reserved IP address and also make sure that IP is in its DMZ, then reboot the R3 from the interface, wait 4 minutes before accessing and monitor from there
gearsniper550 Posted August 29 Author Posted August 29 ok i just have to figure out how to get into the verizon router lol

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 30 Administrators Posted August 30 That'd be on the Verizon router so I can't give you specific instructions on how to do that but they should be in similar locations to where they appear on the R3. If not, lookup the model of your router and it will show in the manual
gearsniper550 Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 i havent done the dmz thing yet but it happened again heres the logs R3_2025-09-01T00_45_08.070Z_logs.txt
gearsniper550 Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 i did the dmz router and it just did it R3_2025-09-01T01_39_36.090Z_logs.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 1 Administrators Posted September 1 Did you set it as static as well? Are you using PPPoE/VLAN or IPv6 at all?
gearsniper550 Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 yeah i set it to static. No im not using those
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 1 Administrators Posted September 1 Does it seem to follow any sort of pattern such as same time of day, same devices being used when it disconnects etc?
