exodus1337 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 For some reason when accessing wifi via my phone. The ad blocker only works when I'm using the 2.4Ghz band but on the 5Ghz band it doesnt work at all. Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 11 Administrators Posted August 11 Your phone may be appearing as a different device when connecting to 5GHz, for example, I just connected my phone to 2.4GHz and it has a completely different MAC address (which is a unique device identifier) and so the router may be interpreting it as a completely new device. So check on the Device Manager when you switch WiFi to see if it or another device seemingly appears, re-name it as needed and then check on Adblocker that it will be blocking for that specific device.
