Seomos17 Posted Friday at 10:21 AM Posted Friday at 10:21 AM Hey again, ive now had the XR1000v2 for about 2 months now, in the last week ive been getting major packet loss over wifi so i decided to factory reset the router, i set up everthing just like i did before the packet loss did stop, but what also stopped working was ping heatmap and geo filter, i tried rebboting serveral times how ever i was unsuccessful. When on ping heat map this message pops up: When clicking force update it loads for around 5 min then shows me this: The exact same thing happens for geo filter, added devices correctly , filter is on, doesnt seem like the xr1000 detecs my game despite it being fine before the reset. when resycing cloud the same message pops up ''MISSING JSON RESPONSE''
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 11:34 AM Author Posted Friday at 11:34 AM update: tested different games on dumaos classified, games are not being detected
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 02:21 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 02:21 PM What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Ensure you're not accessing the interface via HTTPS - some browsers try to force this now so you may need to disable that in browser settings. Also disable Adblocker if you have one on the browser.
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 02:27 PM Author Posted Friday at 02:27 PM The XR is im DMZ it is connected to an EE smart hub plus router, add blocker is already disabled, i am not accessing the dumaos via HTTPS but rather html

You mean you're connecting via HTTP definitely?
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 02:36 PM Author Posted Friday at 02:36 PM honestly im not sure if im connected via http or not but i am using chrome which worked before. is the dmz option on the ee router or on the xr?
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 02:42 PM Author Posted Friday at 02:42 PM just checked the xr was already on DMZ
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 02:44 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 02:44 PM The XR should be in the DMZ on the EE router so you'd need to access the EE router to put the XR in the DMZ function there. The WAN IP of the XR is found on the System Information page on the XR, that's the IP you'll need to enter into the EE DMZ. Go here: chrome://settings/content/siteDetails?site=http%3A%2F%2F192.168.1.1%2F in your web browser, it should show a page like this: If so please change these: Popups & Redirects > Allow Intrusive Ads > Allow Insecure Content > Allow Then once you've done the DMZ see if you get the same issues. The IP that was entered into the DMZ will have changed after a factory reset, you'll need to double check its correct.
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 03:17 PM Author Posted Friday at 03:17 PM same issues, xr in dmz, same ip , chrome settings changed.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 03:24 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 03:24 PM I didn't realize you're using 10.0.0.1 so make those changes on this page instead: chrome://settings/content/siteDetails?site=http%3A%2F%2F10.0.0.1%2F Also change DNS on the XR back to get from ISP
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 03:29 PM Author Posted Friday at 03:29 PM applied changes, problem still occurs, rebooted router too.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 03:51 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 03:51 PM Could you provide uncropped screenshots please? Helps me see if there is anything else causing it. On the System Information page on the Rapp panel, click the icon and change retries to 5. Reboot from the interface, close the interface tab, wait 4 minutes then access and see if it loads everything. If not please provide a full screenshot of a page with the error and provide the logs from the System Information page please (click on it and download then upload here)

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 04:23 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 04:23 PM Download the latest firmware from here: https://kb.netgear.com/000066234 You should be able to access the NTGR settings from 10.0.0.1/adv_index.htm - if so then re-upgrade to that firmware version please, close tab, wait 4 minutes then try accessing normally please
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 04:44 PM Author Posted Friday at 04:44 PM after manual update, same problem, when i click force update, loads for serveral mins then gives the same message ''Missing JSON response. i now get no internet connection over wifi s
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 04:54 PM Author Posted Friday at 04:54 PM internet connection is back, problem still occurs
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 05:01 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 05:01 PM Could you provide a picture of the back of the router, how it is connected to your ISP router please? Does force update allow it to work? If you could get that log as well please
Seomos17 Posted Friday at 05:12 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:12 PM i cant provide a pictrure at this time, the xr is connected from the yellow wan port to one of the ee routers port, clicking force update does nothing it just does a loading icon for 4 min then shows the missing json response message
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 05:41 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 05:41 PM Could you get the log file then please?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 06:10 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 06:10 PM Look through it to see if it can indicate the cause of the issue - there isn't anything sensitive in it don't worry. It just captures background processes of the router, no internet history or anything like that. That can't be all the log, there is barely anything there, did you download it from the System Information page?
