Reykc9510 Posted Sunday at 02:17 PM Posted Sunday at 02:17 PM How can I lower the jitter? Its affecting hit registration on COD
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 05:08 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 05:08 PM What are the jitter values you're seeing exactly on the Geo-Filter & in game?

Thats it right at this moment. It doesnt stay that low. I can tell when im getting smacked in gun fight an my bullets aren't registering.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 06:20 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 06:20 PM Okay that's fine but what is the variance in ping you're actually getting on the game/on the Geo-Filter when playing?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 07:04 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 07:04 PM That's fine, that will be processing delay which accounts for the additional ping. By variance I mean the amount your ping varies e.g. 30 and goes up and down to/from 35, that's what jitter is. By the looks of that graph it's really steady so what do you see normally?
Reykc9510 Posted Sunday at 07:34 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:34 PM I get better ping on the east coast. I judt notice when my bullets aren't registering like they should. All my settings are good from what I understand jitter can cause this issue?

If you're getting better ping there then force those servers instead. Is your ping fluctuating wildly and consistently like I mentioned during the game, shown on the Geo-Filter or the in game ping? If so then yes that would be it. If so, what are the fluctuations you're seeing?

I dialed in the CC so I know its not that. Leaves me thinking jitter
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 09:16 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 09:16 PM If it's consistently stable then it's not jitter. It will almost certainly be the servers being under load, if everything is good on your side then that is the only answer. In which case force different servers, even slightly further away as even though the ping may be a little higher it may be more stable in regards to hit detection
Reykc9510 Posted Sunday at 09:42 PM Author Posted Sunday at 09:42 PM See where it says low latency gaming when im having issues with the hit registration both those checks are triangles. When its good there both ✔️. What can cause this?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 10:12 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 10:12 PM Presumably the range of your ping results, if you click read more it can give you an indication. If nothing changes in your setup and you see that then it's likely on the ISP side. Are you seeing it during peak times for example?
Reykc9510 Posted Sunday at 10:41 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:41 PM No particular time, I just notice a difference in the way the bullets register.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 11:04 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 11:04 PM What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? - Is it the 1Gbps/1Gbps from your screenshot? How is the console connected, via ethernet or WiFi?
Reykc9510 Posted Sunday at 11:16 PM Author Posted Sunday at 11:16 PM I'll have to take a pic of the model info when I get back home. Otherwise everything is hard wired to a from the modem. I dont know how to use dmzor bridge mode

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 16 hours ago Administrators Posted 16 hours ago That's all fine then. Monitor while playing and see what the Geo-Filter shows your average ping is, as well as in game. Then when it goes bad see what both the pings show. Also note the times when this happens. This way we can begin to build up a picture/pattern of when its happening.
