ejmereen Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Hello Support/Frasier, I got my new replacement router (thank you) and set every device to a static IP to avoid the 5ghz drop/reconnect problem. It worked fine for a few weeks, but now the router is crashing randomly on the latest firmware. Happened three times today, and many times last week. I'm dropping calls during my work hours and this is impacting my job. Weird Behavior: I notice that the internet is very slow on 5ghz like 40mbps up/down when I have gig fiber internet. When I connect to 2.4ghz I get about 150mbps up/down which is expected. When the 5ghz internet starts to get slow I know a crash is about to happen, this is the tell for this router. I notice it most when I'm downloading a game on Xbox Network I expect to see 200-300mbps but when it's under 100mbps I know something is about to happen. Typically when I notice the internet speed drop to slow levels, a crash will happen within 30 minutes, and the router needs to be restarted a few times to get back to normal levels. Error found in logs: Tue Jul 15 21:07:03 2025 daemon.info procd: Instance cgi-runner::instance1 s in a crash loop 6 crashes, 0 seconds since last crash Ask: Can you please check the logs attached and let me know how I can avoid this in the future. I notice when the router crashes the adblocker won't load, so I have disabled it. I really need this router to work, this is probably the most troublesome router I've ever owned. It's starting to impact my work as I get dropped from calls in Teams multiple times a day. We need to get this figured out please. -Eric R3_2025-07-16T01_09_16.123Z_logs.txt

Maybe I'm missing something?
ejmereen Posted July 17 Author Posted July 17 Update: The router is now crashing multiple times a day so I had to switch back to an older router just so I can use the internet.
