Getting servers outside of filter

for some reason when i was looking for a game i am getting connected to servers outside of the filter that i made. Is there a reason or am i doing something wrong

Do this:

1. Quit the application/game/client completely
2. Remove all the devices from the Geo-Filter
3. Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager
4. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
5. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter
6. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
7. Wait 2 minutes
8. Boot up application/game/client

Then check that Geo-Latency and Ping Assist are disabled. Also keep in mind that Halo did put things in place quite awhile ago to prevent filtering so likely the only way to filter if it does work would be to use Geo-Latency which could still allow servers outside your radius but the ping shouldn't be too high, like the one from your screenshot.

@Netduma Fraser Hi, I wanted to ask I have this same config pc set up as console and everything cause I was having the same issue with connecting to servers outside of the geo fence but now I can't connect to discord for some reason it says "connecting RTC" do you knoe any fix to that?

Check the map when that happens, there should be a blocked icon, click it and then allow it. You may need to do it a few times for their multiple servers and then it will work with the Geo-Filter enabled

@Netduma Fraser I've tried that before and still getting the RTC error because somehow it does not connect to the same server twice and if I allow servers outside of my geofence it'll also connect the game to those servers as it's configured as a console

You'll need to do it a few times, just do it while you're trying to use Discord, not when you're on the game so no game servers will appear

@Netduma Fraser I've done it without using the game, somehow the router still recognize the servers I've previously allowed as game servers when start to play

Did you remove those game servers from the allow list?

Nope I have not removed any server, in fact I've tried to factory reset and normally reset the router and issue still happen to occur, I've figured out if I want to add servers I need to be on console mode (pc mode worked couple times and then sudden all servers dissappear and seems to not recognize any server), and if I want to play and use discord (which is 100% of the times) I need to be on pc mode but I will not be able to add any servers (geofence works fine it's just that no servers appear on the map) I think I'll just wait for an update to the R3 tho

Ah I see, yes the console method is what I usually recommend for PC players, it will work all the time rather than some of the time as the games services get outdated which doesn't happen when switching it to a console
