JDubs
I have been using a XR500 for years with no issues, just got the R3 in and all setup hoping to try some of the new features. My first stumbling block is with the Geo Filtering. On the right side bar it says "no game in progress" after I have connected to a game and loaded in, it has only properly connected twice so far. I'm assuming all my filters are not on in this instance. I've tried removing the device re-adding and r-syncing the cloud. I have DMZ hosting setup on my ISP's gateway. What am I missing to properly utilize the Geo-filtering on the R3 that was never an issue on my XR500? Game: Warzone on PC Geo-latency: off Strict mode: on Fast search: off Steady ping: active
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 02:13 PM Administrators Share Posted Thursday at 02:13 PM Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client
JDubs
I’ve seen you post this on others posts with similar issues which is what I was attempting to state as something I’ve already tried with no success. Sometimes it will show that I’m connecting to my desired server and then after the match loads in it will say no game in progress and not show the server on the heatmap anymore. While I am technically playing on the correct server my latency doesn’t reflect that the steady ping feature is working which leads me to believe that the router isn’t functioning or filtering properly at that point. If the server is pinging and the server is within your radius then it will be working correctly, otherwise please provide an uncropped screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing what you see when this doesn't happen. Steady Ping isn't related to filtering, it tries to add a delay to your ping to give you one consistent ping but this isn't always possible and doesn't mean the actual router/Geo-Filter isn't functioning correctly
JDubs
I will post two images. Both are while actively connected to a lobby & in a game on the same server. The first one shows no game in progress which is what I see 95% of the time. The second image is when it appears to be functioning properly where my latency reflects the added delay and it shows my preferred server connected. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 06:08 PM Administrators Share Posted Friday at 06:08 PM You've not followed through the steps I posted fully as the PC is still added with the Call of Duty option, when you follow the steps and set the PC to a PlayStation in the Device Manager and then add it to the Geo-Filter it will add with the Games Console service and it will work much better
JDubs
Ok, I didn't fully understand step 3, ill give it a few runs and come back if I'm still having issues. Hopefully that was my hang up. Thanks. Netduma Fraser
