Brute
Followed setup to the letter. Led lights are all as they're supposed to be. Rgb on top and Internet light steady white. Yet there's no Internet coming from the r3. Thanks.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 21 Administrators Share Posted June 21 So you've successfully completed the Setup Wizard? Did the wizard show it was getting internet at the time? Do you know if you require PPPoE/VLAN for a connection? - If so did you enter this in?
Brute
I can't do wizard because it won't connect to the Internet and if I connect to my virgin router it doesn't let me because I'm not on the r3. I shouldn't require anything as my friend has the same Internet with the same hub and just plugged it in the same as I have.. Then off he went. Brute
I followed this Until.. Turn them both on and wait for rgb lights and Internet light. Then I couldn't go any further because no Internet
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 21 Administrators Share Posted June 21 You don't need access to the internet to complete the setup wizard so it can be completed even in that situation. Are you saying you've not yet accessed the wizard or you've accessed it but when it tries to connect you're not getting internet? If the latter then you can click advanced then skip and complete the rest of the wizard to get to the interface. Then reboot the VM hub, wait 2 minutes, reboot the R3 from the interface 3 dots top right of the screen wait 4 minutes then see if you have internet
Brute
Is the wizard via the app?
Brute
This is what I get when I scan the code. Tried it every way it's told me to.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 21 Administrators Share Posted June 21 You can set it up through the wizard yes. You need to be connected to the R3 WiFi to continue in the app/with the Setup Wizard, it doesn't matter that it doesn't have internet, you still need to connect to it and complete the wizard. Without completing the wizard you won't get internet access.
Brute
Thank you so much. I have managed to connect. Everything seems fine other than... The ethernet connections are playing up. Saying my device (smart TV) is offline.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 21 Administrators Share Posted June 21 Glad to hear you got it sorted. By playing up do you mean the Device Manager is reporting it offline? If so, unless there is active traffic devices can appear offline even if they're on. If the TV actually has internet and is working then there is nothing to worry about and it would switch to online during active use.
Brute
No. The TV is saying no connection. The wireless connected devices are fine, but via ethernet, nothing!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 21 Administrators Share Posted June 21 Are other devices connected via ethernet getting the same issue? Do you get the same issue plugging it into the different LAN ports? Are the WiFi devices definitely connected to the R3 WiFi? Can you provide a picture of how the back of the router looks with all the cables in it please?
Brute
I can this evening when I'm home from work. Thank you. Netduma Fraser
Brute
I took all the ethernet connections out of the r3 and put them back into vm hub. They all work fine now.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 23 Administrators Share Posted June 23 Okay but what about connected to the R3? If you answer the questions I can investigate further.
