Barry12
Hi, just recently purchased a XR1000, I pay for 1000/50 internet. In the benchmark and netgear app I receive those speeds, once I use speedtest on any other site I only get 200ish. I have set speeds in Duma and dissabled QoS. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 02:19 PM Administrators Share Posted Friday at 02:19 PM What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Did you disable QoS fully from the Congestion Control menu ? How is the PC connected, via ethernet or WiFi? Barry12 Posted yesterday at 12:34 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 12:34 AM It is connected directly to my nbn box, qos is completely disabled. Not everything is connected to the xr yet. Its connected through wifi, i have a wifi 6 dongle which with the Telstra modem previously it reached the speeds i pay for and i never had any issues with ping but now its constantly spiking I have also tried several times to update the firmware but it has now failed I’ve enable smart connect through the app and now my speeds have increased but only to 500mbps. Testing on my phone shows it gets 80mbps. Is there anything else besides qos that limits speeds to different devices?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted yesterday at 07:06 AM Administrators Share Posted yesterday at 07:06 AM What speeds do you get via ethernet? Prior to enabling Smart Connect where you connecting to 2.4 or 5GHz for these tests? If you still have devices connected to the box they can take bandwidth away from the XR. Barry12 Posted yesterday at 07:35 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 07:35 AM Managed to update firmware and I’m getting good speeds on 5ghz now and the ping hasn’t been spiking. Going to test Ethernet connection tomorrow
