Bizarre issues last few days

No worries, we should be able to determine a range if provided with a few and then blanket change them

I think there's a host and not necessarily clustered as my game searches from <41ms - <50-58ms before jumping to the range I have selected but I'll take notes from them when possible!

Out of sheer curiosity, how do they end up mislocated in the first place?

IPs can be sold from country to country etc so an IP that was once local to you could end up changing to being an IP across the world. There are just under 4 BILLION public IPv4 addresses, keeping tracking of all of those is near on impossible or would at least take a ridiculous amount of resources. Not suggesting we have a 4 billion address database ourselves, just highlighting the inherent issue with keeping IPs 100% accurate.
The games change their server IPs from time to time and when that happens, if it's not already an IP we have previously changed to be in the correct location it can show the previous IP location. That's how a server showing in the US can appear even though it's in Europe. If no one reports a mislocated IP/ID then we don't know it needs to be changed.

That's pretty interesting! Thanks! It seems they have put a massive cluster in the Oklahoma region. When I'm tapping these ones the ping return from me varies from 40ms to 259ms.

Never normally get that many pings from that region.

Seems like potentially a big block of IPs from that location have been divided up and sold to other places across the world, might just be easier for us to check servers in this location - thanks!

Just to confirm mate, it is just that location. I tested everywhere else and the geofilter is working as it should in game. Seems to be a huge cluster in Oklahoma.

Is it cheeky to ask you to update this thread if you manage to fix it? I'll happily guinea pig to check it's working as it should.

Appreciate all the help as always!

Good to hear, thanks for the confirmation! Not cheeky but also the updates can come at any time so I may know at the same time as you or you'd notice the behavior has changed, I will try though. No worries, thank you!
