TheRealQM
I have tried rebooting both my R3 and Modem digitally and physically. For a very long time now my ping has been raised more than normal even without the R3 and I have provided an attached image of what happens when I try to use the ping optimizer. I am starting to think the ping optimizer is a joke and scandal because it has rarely worked. When I first purchased the R3 it was flawless. This has been a continuous issue and has messed up work meetings. NetDuma support help me with this to resolve it or so help me God.
TheRealQM
Oh and it only shows the download speed and not the upload speed when it does the test. I have provided an image which captures that.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 2 Administrators Share Posted May 2 We're aware Ping Optimizer/Speed test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and we're looking into it. In the meantime setting/testing speeds manually and adjusting Congestion Control manually will be needed to achieve the same effects. Your ping is raised where exactly? Where are you testing this ping? A higher ping wouldn't necessarily impact voip too much unless it's quite high. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST?
18RayF
Also having same issue ping can be low as 4ms and then spikes to around 40, running full fibre 1 gig up and down , speeds have been entered I use smart boost etc , when optimiser was working me ping used to very consistent in the 5ms.

You'll need to adjust Congestion Control manually then to achieve the same effects - Ping Optimizer > Advanced.
18RayF
What % of my speeds would you recommend for upload and download and for congestion control mode should I leave as auto?

For the mode it's down to personal preference and when you want it to activate
18RayF
Ive tested multiple times cant achieve same results as before using the simple ping optimiser , used to get around 2-3ms down and up after being optimised , the congestion control the lowest ive got on Bufferbloat test is A and my download is 15ms when loaded.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Saturday at 05:10 PM Administrators Share Posted Saturday at 05:10 PM Ping Optimizer just changes the Congestion Control percentages so it will be possible to get good results, though it did use a different server to do so, it is possible that server was closer than the one you're testing with. Follow this guide https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping while downloading & start with 95% for Congestion Control (set to Always), check results, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good & then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values. This will be more of a real world test rather than a simple online test.
