Fragpunk servers in South Africa

Recommended Posts

Good day

I see that my ping heatmap is showing that there are fragpunk servers in South Africa and Netduma is advertising that there are on your blog but when I go in game to select a server there are no South African servers to select. Could someone please provide clarity on the accuracy of this before I try and contact Fragpunk customer support. Did Netduma get this server list from Fragpunk developers?

We don't get the server list directly from any game developers/companies so it's always purely based on our testing/findings. So at the time this would have been what we found, it's also possible the servers that appeared to be there on the Geo-Filter map were actually mislocated and should be some where else.

Heatmap says your ping is roughly 70ms to those servers, is 70ms an accurate ping for you to SA? If on the game you leave the server selection on Auto do you get a game with around 70ms or higher?

Yeah my ping ranges anything from 35-75ms to SA servers, I'm in the neighboring country Namibia. I left the server selection on auto and my geo-filter only covers my country and SA and I get connected to servers in Singapore with 248ms....lol

You may have Geo-Latency and Ping Assist enabled, disable both of those and try again. Also ensure you've enabled the Geo-Filter prior to launching the game and don't change any Geo-Filter settings on the game without then rebooting the game otherwise they won't apply

Tried as suggested but all that happened is my NAT TYPE became strict, I was unable to play any game, does not load into the game. As soon as i enabled these settings again im able to play.

They don't have any impact on your NAT status but it does mean it's probably blocking a NAT server, zoom out fully on the map with those options disabled, check the NAT status and look for something blocked and allow it. Repeat this, you may need to do it a few times and then you should have all the servers for NAT allowed and it should work then. Once done if you could give us the IDs for these servers then we can add them to the global whitelist.

Did as requested, still cannot find any games or join any game as soon as geolatency is disabled as you suggested. This just means the heatmap is wrong or these are mislocated servers. South african servers are not on the server select list on fragpunk itself, heatmap is just misleading at this point.

If I may give you my 2cents, please confirm server locations are valid before posting on social media or synchronizing these to the heatmap cloud.

Attached is one of the "NAT Servers" as requested.

It does sound like there aren't any servers within your radius, so you will have to try forcing other servers. We don't claim for Heatmap to be 100% pin point accurate, in most cases there is no way to 100% confirm the findings are correct, that's why people turn to us in the first place for an idea of where the servers are. I will let the team know there aren't any servers in that location so they can remove them
