Issue with geofilter for Warzone on PS5

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Since the Verdansk update I have issues with the geofilter. It was working properly before and I was able to connect to NA servers or even spanish servers without issues.

Now, when it's on I generally cannot find a game and this happens when I try to geofence US east coast (I'm in France) but also Europe and even when I use the "recommend filtering for my game" option.

It sometimes works for 1 or 2 game after doing the delete device / resync cloud / re add device but that's it (I play 1 game then I queue for the next without touching anyhting on the R3 or the console but cannot find another game, the ping bracket goes up 3 or 4 times and then I'm stuck in the last one forever)

I've also noticed that it never works if I have the hybrid vpn on (I only vpn ports 443 and 3074). I tried locations in the US when geofencing east coast and locations in Europe otherwise and I could never find any match whereas when I disable it I can, rarely, but at least sometimes find a game.

Any idea ?

Thanks

They're actively trying to work against people using VPNs so that's what I'd expect that part to be at least.

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Are ALL devices connected to the R3?

What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi?

Could you provide an uncropped screenshot of the Geo-Filter page and also the Geo-Filter settings menu please?

Hi, thank you for your reply.

what’s weird is that I’m able to find games with the vpn only but as soon as I have geo filter+vpn it doesn’t work.

its a orange livebox modem, the R3 is in its DMZ and yes every device is connected to the R3.

I’m on ps5 Ethernet and below the screenshots :

Thanks !

You've created a tunnel between you and the VPN server so the Geo-Filter will have a hard time with determining the traffic that's why I suspect it's not working very well with each other, you generally wouldn't need to use both at the same time
