Trewg
I’ve tried everything I could to make it work, but it won’t lock my device to a region, and when I setup in South America servers, I just get unable to connect to a data center, even tho there’s servers in that region, how can I fix it? Router is a xr500
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 13 Administrators Share Posted April 13 Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client It should work better then. Are you trying to force servers really far away though? If so you're likely hitting their ping limit which is why you can't connect.
Trewg
I will try this now, but it always worked just fine, I’m in the US, and always played in South America servers, ping is between 150-176ms i will let you know if this new method worked
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 13 Administrators Share Posted April 13 They are counteracting VPNs now, part of that will be detecting abnormally high pings so you could be getting classed as using a VPN and being prevented from joining those servers
Trewg
I used Netduma my whole life with no issues, it makes no sense for them to block geo fencing, I will check now if it worked
Trewg
Netduma is not updated or is not detecting the South America servers, because there’s 2, Santiago and Brazil, once I’m in the lobby and search, it says unable to connect to a data center, then I look the the geo filter, it shows no servers. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 13 Administrators Share Posted April 13 They're not blocking Geo-Filtering, they're preventing people with really high pings connecting essentially. The above is normal when you boot up the game with a radius over an area - it won't always show the servers you can connect to. Zoom out fully when it happens, there is likely an authentication server being blocked, add that to your allow list and you should be able to continue - you may need to do this a few times to get all the authentication servers in that area. If you provide us with the IDs for those we can get them allowed.
