R3 Randomly Rebooting and losing Internet

Recommended Posts

I have recently had a spate of daily connection drops after R3 randomly rebooting. Its been happening for the passed couple of months and Ive factory reset the R3 several times and seem to get a bit of stability before it starts up again. Finally remembered to download the logs of it happening tonight and have attached it below. Any help is appreciated.

My set up is Huawei HG612 Modem, PPPOE (EE, using [email protected], BT) , to R3 and additionally connecting EX7700 Extender. Latest 540 Firmware.

Thanks in advance

Is the router definitely rebooting or are you just losing connection? We are aware of an issue with it disconnecting when using PPPoE. How are you determining it is rebooting exactly?

The light fully go off and appear to fully reboot before all the lights come back on, whilst also losing internet connection.

Do you have it connected to a power extender or direct to an outlet? If an extender please try direct to an outlet. Otherwise do you have another power adapter you could try with?

Direct to the outlet, I don’t. Is there any specific specs I need or can I buy a spare official one?

The specs are on the plug itself, nothing specific outside what is mentioned there, doesn't need to be an official one and we don't sell those separately. Not sure it is a power issue yet for certain
