BO6 servers not pinged anymore in the Geo-filter feature (R2 v3.3.280)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My R2 (v3.3.280) wont show anymore the BO6 servers that I am connecting to in the Geo-filter, it used to do it.

Anyone knows why or what is going on?

Thx.

Try this:

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter
  5. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  6. Wait 2 minutes
  7. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works.

Thanks for the quick answer and the steps, @Netduma Fraser. I tried that already, just also upgraded to OS v4, did the steps and still cannot see the servers in the map. The geo filter seems to work though, just looking at the ping of the servers that I am playing in.

Check the IP on the device itself, then check the IP on the Device Manager for the device you think it is, do they match?

Have you applied a VPN to the device? Could you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page otherwise please?

Sure, here is a screenshot.

The IP in the PC network settings and Netduma device settings matches, same one. Netduma OS just doesnt see that COD is running (it can see the device and it is the one in the Device Manager, but it says "inactive" because it doesnt see the game running?).

Hey @Netduma Fraser, picking this up again and thanks for your replies.

I can see the servers in the Geo-filter now after using PS in the game device type, but I keep being connected to servers out side of the filtered area. I am using countries as filtering option, In EU I would not like to connect to France or UK (they are the busiest COD servers and the ones that perform worse in peak times, bullet and movement registration are horrible in those servers in peak times, based on my experience), so I just don't want to connect to any Paris or London server.

Quick questions before, I take that there is no "deny" country filter option in the geo filter, is there?

But anyway and more important, why am I getting connected to them if I am using the filter settings correctly (I think)?

I connect to Paris and London often even using this:

Thanks!

Sorry but this will sound like a very stupid question, I cannot find any geo-latency setting in my OS, I tried but I cannot find it, where is it? How do I disable it?

Hey @Netduma Fraser, there is no such a setting like Geo-Latency here:

Is it because I am using an R2?

But also with Strict Mode enabled I am still getting connected to those Paris and London servers. Any idea?

Thanks for the help.

Ahh yes it is because you're using the R2, that will come later. Though now I can see it, the reason for that is because you have ping assist set to 80. Any servers under 80ms will be allowed so if you want to force specific areas you should disable this/set to 0.

Ok ok, gotya.

About Ping Assist, that is another issue that I have, any change that I do in the Ping Assist setting won´t get saved. I change it and it would always revert back to 0-80ms, I cannot disable it. I could not find any other forum comment about this, so there is chance that I am doing something wrong, am I? Or is it also because of R2 and OS4?

That is an R2 specific DumaOS 4 bug yes, it should have defaulted to 0-0 and not been able to be changed so not sure how you were able to do it which likely means to revert it back to that and prevent it happening you'd need to do a reset.

A Factory Reset did it, Ping Assist is 0 now by default and seems to work. Also Geo location overall looks ok and works right now.

Maybe it is useful for you, @Netduma Fraser. I upgraded my R2 to OS4 directly and there were no initial set-up steps required as part of the process, OS4 just loaded up. But now after Factory Reset there were those steps. So maybe this is relevant.

Best!
