Ps5 keeps disconnecting

I recently update to the latest firmware and kept getting disconnect from a wired connection. I done a factory reset and the issue is still there. I don’t have any issue with my other devices.

What is the specific device that is disconnecting? How often is it happening? How long does the disconnect last for - does it reconnect itself or do you have to reboot to restore?

Ps5. It disconnects for a second then connects back up itself. Sometimes happens a few times in the space of 10 seconds.

Is this specifically when in a game or on the dashboard or any time? Does it say that LAN cable disconnected message when it happens? Do you get the same issue if you connect it via WiFi?

Happens when in game. I’m not connected by WiFi only Ethernet. It’s says lan cable disconnected, then quickly it will re-connect.

I understand you're connected via ethernet but if you could connect via WiFi and see if the same issue happens please

Also try with a different/new ethernet cable

I used a new cable before hand. Switched to WiFi and the problem has disappeared.

Okay re-plug in and ensure both ends firmly click in place and try again. I have heard that the PS5 ethernet port isn't as snug as it should be, make it wobble, is it looser than it should be?

I’ve ordered a fresh cable. Will see if that sorts it out.
