They are low yes, did you experiment with the widths/channels and use a WiFi analyzer to determine the best channel?

Yes, I do this almost every day and I'm not getting any results so far. I've never had this kind of problem with previous routers that were performant from the start.

I played an efootball match today, the same thing happened to me as in the last few days, the first match is smooth then the following matches are catastrophic. I don't know how to explain it.

How far is the phone from the router when testing, is there any difference in speeds between 2.4 & 5GHz?

When I tested it, I was about 15M from the router. 5GHz is slightly better, it goes up to 5 or 6 mb but not more.

If you test right next to the router do the speeds increase?

Here are the nearby tests on the 5 and 2.4.

It's clearly a problem of scope. I won't hide from you that I'm generally disappointed.

As for efootball, the router clearly has no impact unless you know the server you are playing on.

I had some bugs this week on the application which sometimes takes a long time to download the servers for the geo filter

What firmware are you on currently? May be beneficial for WiFi to downgrade and see if performance improves.

Could you expand on this? "As for efootball, the router clearly has no impact unless you know the server you are playing on. "

Disable telemetry in Settings > Troubleshooting and that will stop the error - it's no longer an aspect of the router so there is no need to keep it on

Hello, I got a wifi repeater and it's better. However, I changed internet provider a few days ago and the geo-filter function no longer works. It systematically asks me for servers outside my zone (the same as before). I reread the settings but since installing the new model, they give me servers outside my zone. Any ideas? Thanks

The internet provider won't affect the Geo-Filter in that way, are you covering Japan as well as that may be needed as they use relay servers.

No, I don't cover Japan. I have exactly the same settings as before, but I can't get the filter to be strict again. I've been testing since last night.

Cover Japan in addition to where you want servers and try again

This morning a succession of problems and match disconnections. I'm showing some photos. What I observe is that when I restart the R3 router I get one or two matches in the filter then it systematically leaves the filter. The triangles that indicate forbidden zones turn white. As if the router allows itself a tolerance and then this tolerance increases until it goes very far from the filter. Even the duma os application has been acting up since yesterday and I can no longer connect to it.

I have reset it several times but no improvement. I should point out that the new modem is in IPv4 unlike the old one which was in IPv6.

I tested the Japanese cover, it doesn't work.

If you're doing everything that has been said then there isn't anything else to do currently, it's connecting to you within your radius to then allow a connection to a server outside your radius. This is why Japan was suggested as supposedly having that area allowed prevents the relay necessity.

It seems that this problem is related to my change of operator. Nothing has worked since. Even the application is experiencing bugs. I did exactly what you said and followed the discussions on the subject on the forum and I put Japan in the filter. Nothing works. The first and sometimes the second matchmaking are in the filter then everything else is outside. It's quite strange and frustrating.

I don't think it's anything to do with your internet, setup or settings, just that for some reason they have chosen to have their matchmaking work in that way. Likely to ensure quick matches but at the expense of connection

I don't want to just contradict you, but in the morning everything was working (latency present but matchmaking in the filter area. As soon as the new operator was connected, the connection everything changed. The router no longer has the same discipline and 95% of the matchmaking is outside the filter. It's hard to say that there are no links. I will probably change operators again in a few weeks because it is unplayable now.

Maybe efootball changed something, but isn't that why we got the router? To force matchmaking to go to our area. I don't know about other games, but like I said, for efootball, the router has little use in this case. Also, you still haven't updated the server list...

The internet provider or type of internet you have wouldn't impact the functioning of the Geo-Filter, it sees the same connections and filters the same way regardless. What could potentially be happening is the new provider you're using has IPs that were bought from other locations and the locations haven't properly updated in IP databases, leading the game to think that you're actually somewhere you're not. In which case it's trying really hard to connect you to a server it thinks should be good for you but actually isn't. It's quite rare to see that but it is possible.

Your internet service provider or internet type does not affect how Geofilter works: it detects the same connections and filters them in the same way. It is possible that your new provider is using IP addresses purchased from other locations and that these are not correctly updated in the IP address databases, making the game think you are in an unknown location. In this case, it tries to connect you to a server it thinks is suitable, but it is not. This is quite rare, but possible.

Okay, very possible, but what's the solution? For now, the router no longer filters anything.

If that is the case then changing the provider may help which it sounds like you might be doing, otherwise nothing unfortunately unless IP databases update
