Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 20 Administrators Posted February 20 Anything that could be impacting the speed you're receiving
Resist Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 I understand that, I was talking about what specifically are you looking for. Considering there is not much info on the QoS page, and I've told you before what settings I have. Congestion Control is set to Never. Download is set to 600Mbps, Upload is set to 30Mbps. Goodput is checked. DumaOS Classified Games is unchecked, it was checked but I then unchecked it. Either way didn't fix anything. I just tried putting the 5ghz wifi on the Guess side and it still didn't speed up the 2.4ghz wifi, it won't go past 100Mbps often the most is around 90Mbps and used to easily get speeds over 300Mbps. I do notice that whenever I made a change and hit Apply, it takes quite a while before the Wifi signal comes back up. I'm really starting to think the router hardware is broken.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 21 Administrators Posted February 21 How have you set Bandwidth Allocation? If this isn't reset/at the defaults it can affect the speed you receive. Likewise if you have share excess disabled for it then that will definitely affect the speeds. How have you setup Traffic Prioritization? If you've made a custom rule that is too wide in its scope then this could also affect the speed. Disable QoS fully from the Congestion Control menu and check the speeds, what do you get then?
Resist Posted February 22 Author Posted February 22 I've done nothing with Traffic Prioritization, nor have I ever made a custom rule. Disabling QoS didn't fix it, 2.4ghz was 91Mbps down/22Mbps up. While 5ghz was 565Mbps down/22Mbps up.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 23 Administrators Posted February 23 Change to 40MHz for the width on 2.4GHz, what speed do you get then?
Resist Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 There is no setting that I can find to allow me to change it to just 40MHz. The closest thing I could do was to unable 20/40 MHz coexistence, so I did that and it still didn't fix the issue. My 5GHz Wifi was getting 556Mbps down/23Mbps up and my 2.4GHz Wifi is 93Mbps down/22Mbps up, with it unchecked.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 24 Administrators Posted February 24 That'll do thanks. Could you check any other device that isn't iOS/MacOS and see whether you experience the same please?
Resist Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 I don't have any other device that can check my 2.4GHz download speed.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 3 Administrators Posted March 3 Sorry for the late reply, could you provide a screenshot of each of the main DumaOS pages (other than Ping Heatmap) and also the basic WiFi page and advanced Wifi page from the router please? Hopefully I can then spot something that may be restricting it
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 4 Administrators Posted March 4 That all looks okay, do disable MU-MIMO and then check again, then with it enabled but beamforming off then check then with them both off. If you could get DumaOS screenshots as well that would be really helpful
Resist Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 None of those changes made a difference. Can you tell me exactly what pages in my DumaOS that you need to see. I ask because it's a lot and some would need several shots of the same page as they are long.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 11 Administrators Posted March 11 Apologies, didn't see the message and was waiting for screenshots. Most of it really, these would be helpful please: Congestion Control Device Manager (Table View) Traffic Controller HybridVPN System Information WAN Setup LAN Setup Internet Setup Port Forwarding UPnP VLAN/Bridge
Resist Posted April 2 Author Posted April 2 I'll try to get them for you in a day or two. Netduma Fraser 1
