Bannon05
Hello, I just updated my R3 to the latest firmware and noticed what I believe is an issue with this release. I was using the Smart Boost feature and placed my PC as the highest priority (x1). It is the only device added within Smart Boost. My PC is hard wired to the router. The issue is that when testing my internet speeds the speed test with Smart Boost enabled is much slower than when the feature is disabled. With Smart Boost enabled my download speeds are between 300-375 Mbps versus 700-900 Mbps with the feature disabled. Do I have Smart Boost set up incorrectly or is there an issue with this feature? TIA
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9 Administrators Share Posted February 9 How do you have Congestion Control set? As that will affect how the speeds are reported Bannon05

TIA hi. per the text in the UI for this, x5 would be highest priority. At least that is my understanding based on what it says. I have our PC desktops set to x5. Also congestion control on will reduce speeds accordingly. Double check that too. Choose a number between 1.0 - 5.0. The higher the number, the more favourably activities on this device will be treated. Bannon05
Bannon05
Thank you for that suggestion. I read up further and after performing a factory reset the issue was resolved.
