Babyhuey
In all my years of using the internet, I have never used a worse router. Bought off of Amazon. Only received v1, not v2. ALSO, the model I was SOLD is an ISP ONLY router. I have never ever heard of an ISP providing a router outside of the modem. Netgear support was the worst. Sorry, I am done with Netgear. Just bought a different router and returning the XR1000 in a body bag.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 The only difference between the standard and v2 is a CPU change, there is no functional difference between them. Assuming you bought the $166 variant on Amazon.com, if you look at the seller, it isn't Netgear, so I doubt they will be as particular about the model they're selling, they probably don't even know there is a difference. Amazon has a great return policy so the thing to do is just return it if it isn't the right one. It's no ones fault other than the seller on Amazon.
