Geo-Filter for COD Black Ops 6 Issues

Hello,

I have been using the Geo-Filter on and off for a while now, but ever since Black Ops 6's release, the filter seems to be working inconsistently. It will still connect to a server outside of the specified radius. The reason I want to use it for my case is because the server closest to me feels terrible at times (even though I get 12 ping). I have more luck on a few 30 ping servers just a little further away. Here's what I've done to try to help...

  • Disable Geo-Latency
  • Disable Ping Assist (set it to 0,0)
  • Enable Strict Mode
  • Disable Fast Search
  • Enable filter before launching game
  • Restart pc
  • Restart R3
  • Update pc
  • Update R3 (v4.0.290)
  • Use simple and custom radius filter
  • Resized filters in various ways

Sometimes if I have the filter enabled before launching the game, the game won't connect to online services. To fix this, I have to turn the filter off, launch the game, and then turn filter back on (just restarting the game results in same issue). This does not happen every time. My speculation is that this has to do with how the CoD servers are setup. Does anyone else have similar issues or a workaround?

We've just released a new Early Access firmware if you could upgrade to that and see if it resolves the issue for you: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/57983-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-40540

I've tested the new firmware and the issue is still present unfortunately. Any other ideas?

Could you provide a screenshot of the full Geo-Filter page showing what you see when you get a game outside your radius please?

Sure, it will loop from "Finding Host" to "No game in progress" even though I am in game. Even when I resize the filter to include the entire map, it still does not find the host. If I turn the filter off, I get no other information as to what server I am connected to as well. I have no servers on the allowed/denied list.

Try this:

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager
  4. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  5. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
  6. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  7. Wait 2 minutes
  8. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works better.

After trying this, it works! I've only tested for about an hour, but I'll update here if something changes. Thanks for the help!
