Hello,

I have a Netduma R2 and when I enable IPV6 I get bufferbloat and lower speeds. My speed is normally 300/300 and when I enable IPV6 i get around 100/100. i also notice web browsing is slower when using IPV6. Any known issues around this and or preferred settings that can be provided to run IPV6 optimally?

Thanks.

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Where are you testing the speeds exactly? Do you have the Adblocker enabled on the R2?

Hi Fraser. My R2 is connected directly to ISP (Verizon Fios), with no modem in between, so no DMZ. I am testing on Bufferbloat.com. No Adblocker enabled.

Does the speed test on the router itself show higher? Can you provide a screenshot of the Device Manager table view please?

Yes, the speed on the Device Manager does show similar with IPV4 or IPV6 enabled.

Sorry Fraser i didn't respond earlier, just got home from work. Here is the screenshot if it helps. This is with IPV6 enabled.

Port 2 is showing being limited to 100Mbps, do you have another cable you can swap out with that one to see if it resolves the issue?

I upgraded, thank you for the access Fraser. Unfortunately similar poor results when IPV6 is enabled. As you can see with IPV6 disabled I have higher download speed and way less jitter. I notice this when web surfing as well. When I use IPV6 sites often take a long time to load and sometimes timeout. Please see results below:

Any other settings to change possibly?

You can try disabling the protection options in troubleshooting settings, that may boost the speeds slightly but it's unlikely to be significant. In terms of the bufferbloat it's possible you'd need different Congestion Control values for IPv6 vs without

Thanks for the help Fraser. I think I will just keep IPV6 off, hopefully it can be improved in another update.
