Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 6 Administrators Share Posted January 6 I'd suggest you run through everything here first: https://support.netduma.com/docs/dumaos-3/ Then if you have any questions/issues after that let us know and we can work them out
steven101
hi I have did everything on the instructions to set this up the add blocker doesn't work and the geolocation works sometimes I also reset the full router again I have also opened the correct ports for the x box it is set to console on the router
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 11 Administrators Share Posted January 11 Can you expand on the Adblocker not working - where are you testing this to determine it isn't working? What do you mean by the Geo-Filter works sometimes?
steven101
I have selected the uk only but seem to be connecting to Amsterdam 18ms but will occasionally conect to the London13 ms servers my latency is 12-13 from cmd and from wave buffer bloated test as for the add blocker it used to work but just completely stopped this is on nividia sheild and fire stick and the tv it used to block all the adds but now nothing it doesn't show anything on the router it is enabled is it something to do with EE
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 11 Administrators Share Posted January 11 Can you provide a screenshot of what you see when you get a game outside your radius please? What specific apps is it not blocking on the TV?
steven101
so even when I have the uk selected I am geting conected to Amsterdam and France so why won't it conect to the UK only and the adds are for teatv and nova tv it used to work then started not to same as the geo any help Isp is EE
steven101
so why won't it conect to London
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 12 Administrators Share Posted January 12 You've not provided a screenshot of it showing a game outside your radius so I can't really tell, can you do it from a PC instead please? I don't think we've specifically tested those services (I don't think we have them in the UK), check the domains that appear on Adblocker when an ad is playing on that service then add it to the block list
steven101
whats the pictures i sent look at the bottom of the screen shots if thas not outside tell me what that is ??? this is on my phone every game is outside the uk portarlington Amsterdam that's the servers it's connecting
steven101
the prioritise gameing shows what server it is going to is that correct ?? as London has the lowest latency at 13 but never goes there always Amsterdam France or Ireland

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 12 Administrators Share Posted January 12 It's showing the server name and ping but not how it's connected to the server or how they appear on the map which will help me determine how you connected to them in the first place. Do you have strict mode off, fast search on, Ping Assist on etc? That's what a screenshot of it via a PC would help me determine

steven101
it doesn't find the uk server as showen in the ping heat map only irish 1 and players it will sometimes find it and conect only reason I know is the ping will be 11 to
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 13 Administrators Share Posted January 13 The Irish server is an authentication server required for online play, you can ignore it. The icon in the UK will be the server just showing as a peer icon. As it looks as though you've found out, you need to have Ping Assist to 0 to have only games inside your radius. steven101
yes got that to work but it increases the latency on my x box to over 200 still can't get the add blocker to stop any adds on some apps on my phone and tv it used to block them bit now I'd doesn't
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 14 Administrators Share Posted January 14 You're saying forcing a UK server causes your games to get over 200 ping or are you talking about the ping in the xbox network settings? What apps on the phone as well aren't blocking? It won't be able to block every ad out there and if you look on Adblocker at the URLs that are appearing when you're seeing an ad you can then add it to the block list manually. steven101
its the network test on the x box the add blocker used to work with all my devices but now it doesn't block anything any more after I resync it it worked when I reflashed the router with first intermediate software then rc10 then stopped after resync it did work but now nothing
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 14 Administrators Share Posted January 14 That test you can ignore, it's testing the ping to an authentication server, it won't impact your game experience at all. Add this list to Adblocker and see if it blocks again please https://netgear-adblocker-workaround.netduma.com/default-list.txt
steven101
having to reset this router again for some reason it would not let me into my tv apps would not load the devices which disconnected to each ip address which is strange so put in the ee router and apps work what's going on with this router think I just need to upgrade when I got the cash I disabled the qos and the geo filter to see if it was that I also tried the ad blocker but still did not work is this router being hacked or something just constant strange behaviour with it keep having toneither turn off and back on or reset it sorry to keep annoying you with this I know it can be annoying
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 16 Administrators Share Posted January 16 No it's not being hacked don't worry. In LAN Settings, set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes and see if that stops those connection issues please

You can downgrade to the previous firmware by downloading it from the NG support site and then downgrading in the same way you upgraded by uploading the previous firmware file. For CoD on the Geo-Filter we don't differentiate between each CoD game otherwise the list would be enormous. It's just shown as CoD and will work for them all, if not let us know and we can update that service and I can let you know a workaround to get it filtering. steven101
I have already downgraded it to the last official software but now can only log in through the index I tried that routerlogin.net same as the ip address no such file or directory
