nowngamer Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Im just trying to play some Destiny 2 and i keep getting kicked from games. Its been happening for a while now. i submitted logs so hopefully that will help in trouble shooting my issue. R3_2025-01-05T04_00_49.424Z_logs.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5 Administrators Posted January 5 Do you have the same issue with the Geo-Filter disabled?
nowngamer Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 I havent tried with geo filter off. the problem is the whole internet for my xbox would turn off for about 2 minutes, the party chat would disconnect also. for example just now, i turned my xbox on while im typing this and in just a few minutes i watch the internet go out on it asking me to connect to the network. didnt launch a game or nothing
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5 Administrators Posted January 5 Are any other devices losing the internet when the Xbox does or just the Xbox? Do you notice any patterns as to what may be happening in your surroundings or with what devices may be being used at the same time when it disconnects?
nowngamer Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 i only have one other device connected to the r3 which is my laptop. the internet doesnt go out on it when it happens. ive just been trying to deal with it because i know its a lot going on i the forums and theres new firmware coming out but it was getting me a little frustrated yesterday in the middle of my trials games 😅
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5 Administrators Posted January 5 Could you get me a log directly after the disconnect happens and tell me the time it happens so I can match it up/more easily find the corresponding lot entries please?
nowngamer Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 R3_2025-01-05T22_39_48.351Z_logs.txt It was around 2:37 pacific time. this time the internet went out on my laptop too. took a few minutes for me to be able to connect to the UI
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5 Administrators Posted January 5 In this case at least it was because your public IP lease renewed, are you able to contact the ISP to see if they can extend the lease time for the public IP for you? Better yet if they could give you a static public IP? Unlikely as it's usually something that costs extra
nowngamer Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 R3_2025-01-06T02_24_59.616Z_logs.txt i will ask them when i speak to them tomorrow. it also happened again, can you tell me if it was the same problem ? it was at about 6:23
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 6 Administrators Posted January 6 Unfortunately there was only 3 minutes worth of logs in that one so it's not covering it
nowngamer Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 R3_2025-01-09T23_22_52.243Z_logs.txt i happened again. i think its when i enable smartboost
nowngamer Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 should i be using the default gaming setting or valve games setting for destiny 2? when i look at stats for nerds it says valve games on the pie chart when im running destiny 2
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 10 Administrators Posted January 10 What do you mean by enabling SmartBOOST exactly? As in it is actually fully disabled and then you enabled it? If so that does make sense, it would reload everything. Default gaming should work
nowngamer Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 yeah it would be disabled and when i enable it, the internet starts going out on the r3 and im kicked out of games. the main reason for me disabling it was because of the disconnections. for example, since ive enabled it 30 minutes ago, the internet disconnected about 4 times. ill keep seeing connect to internet on my xbox R3_2025-01-10T00_47_18.237Z_logs.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 11 Administrators Posted January 11 Give the new update in early access we posted yesterday a try please, hopefully that will prevent it happening again
behappy Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Hi, I am having the same problem but with EFootball. At 21:36 I was playing fine, at around 21:38 the disconnect happened, because at 21:39 I sat in front on my computer. Can you see that the problem is? log.txt

Just to confirm, if the R3 goes into a main router, the static IP needs to be set that up in the main router?

Just to confirm, if the R3 goes into a main router, the static IP needs to be set that up in the main router? No on the R3, you're setting a static/reserved local (LAN) IP for the Xbox itself. Super easy on the R3: Go to Settings > DHCP Click Add Rule Click your device Click save and that's it!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 12 Administrators Posted January 12 Are you encountering any issues along with the log entries? If not then you can ignore it, it shows background processes all the time that may stop and start
behappy Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Yes, still having this disconnect issue. First it lags for 30 seconds, then disconnect. (you can see in the second part of the log after the separator when it started lagging) The first part in the log today was during a call. I often have lags during calls but using a very fast fiber line. Any idea what that is? Thank you. netduma.txt
