Alexandro3_3 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hello everyone, I’ve just received the R3 yesterday morning and I tried all day to connect it to my modem (Vodafone Station). At the beginning, the R3 didn’t recognize my network and after some reboots (modem and R3), finally the R3 did it. The problem is that my R3 isn’t really connected because if I try to use it in WiFi mode or with cable, I can only access to 192.168.77.1 page and nothing more. How can I fix this problem?
RME Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hello Alexandro and happy new year Is your isp required ppoe connection? If so then you must go wan settings and setup your vlan id and your credentials your isp given to you user name and password
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3 Administrators Posted January 3 Presumably you've completed the Setup Wizard is that right? As above, do you require VLAN/PPPoE/DHCP identifers etc to get a connection and if so have you entered them into the router? Does the Vodafone station provide WiFi?
Alexandro3_3 Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Hello guys and happy new year you too! Actually I’ve factory resetted the R3 to restart everything. It can’t find the network (as the beginning), so I’m trying to set the ‘Static’ network because probably with Vodafone I don’t have the PPPoE 😢 anyway, how do I proceed now? I have the Vlan id number and all VoIP information.

Ops, sorry but I forgot to quote your messages
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3 Administrators Posted January 3 Just select DHCP or skip the step, continue on to the main interface, make sure to download and upgrade to https://forum.netduma.com/topic/57039-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-40290/ first, then you can enter the VLAN in WAN > Advanced. You'll have to do the upgrade first as the save button for VLAN doesn't work on the early firmware version

How can I proceed if I want to use the static network?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3 Administrators Posted January 3 They will be empty, you don't need to fill them in, reboot the vodafone, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R3 from the interface, wait 4 minutes then see if you have internet

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3 Administrators Posted January 3 Does the vodafone station give out WiFi? Can you provide a screenshot of your R3 WAN Settings page please and grab the log from Settings > Troubleshooting please?

I’m actually connected to the Station if I want to use internet. I swap to R3 Wi-Fi to access to the interface.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3 Administrators Posted January 3 Can you provide a picture of how you've connected the R3 to your Vodafone station please/the back of the two routers?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3 Administrators Posted January 3 That explains it, how you've plugged the cables into the R3 is correct, however, the cable going from the R3 to the Vodafone station needs to be in the LAN port, not the WAN port

It’s like the VS (Vodafone Station) couldn’t recognize the R3. But if I try to set the ‘Static network’ only in the R3 I have this: It’s a random IP but the VS could recognize it. I don’t know why the public IP is “unknown”
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3 Administrators Posted January 3 You probably just need to do the reboot process I mentioned previously - switch back to DHCP and do the reboot process and check again please.
