Warzone S1 BO6 VPN

Hello

Could someone enlighten me as to what they have changed in Warzone regarding VPN?

Before the Bo6 Warzone, where there was still Mw3 Warzone, I had connected to Algeria and played in the Spanish server. The rounds were pleasant.

Since the Warzone Bo6 I am connected in Algeria but not with Spanish server. I can tell by the lobby and player origin. Most of them are from France, Netherlands and Germany, it seems to me that the game blocks it ?

Anyone who knows about this would be really nice to give me some information.

I believe they're just making it so that connecting via a VPN and having a high ping is blocked so it'll force you onto different servers. Also the Spanish server is one of the hardest to force, it doesn't always seem to be available so it may have nothing to do with the VPN at all

Thanks for the info 👍🏼
Are there any ways around this?
The lobbies plus the dsync are big problems in Warzone.
Although I have a good connection, you are dead with 3 hits. I have to make 20 hits for opponents to fall over.

On smartboost I am playing call of Duty Series plus PlayStation device. Playstion is online but call of Duty Series is offline even though I am in the game.

Hey

does the smartboost function work for the R2 or are the functions limited?
I got the early accses from you and have already installed it, only question is I tried smartboost for better hit detection but unfortunately I didn't notice anything.
the only thing i noticed was that the hits are registered very late. my game is call of duty warzone.

Yes it does work but also keep in mind hit detection isn't the purpose of the feature, it's to ensure all devices can use the internet without impacting each other and you can prioritize gaming/devices which will give you a better experience. Is the ping still low when using it? Experiment with how you're prioritizing it, e.g. the device itself, gaming, selecting the game, call of duty content etc

On the Geo Filter a server in Ireland appears sometimes 2.
Does it have an influence on warzone? I blocked the servers, at the beginning I couldn't find any game because I blocked them.
Another question is can i put my ps5 in dmz mode in netduma?
Do I have to reserve an ip for this?

They're authentication servers so they need to be allowed for you to get games, that's why you couldn't get any when blocked. They don't negatively impact your game experience.

You can put the PS5 in the DMZ if you wish. I would suggest reserving an IP for it, otherwise if the PS5 IP changes then the DMZ would be invalid and you'd have to set it again, would save time this way.

Okay understood thanks for the tip.
I have another question for you again, following the GEO filter is not working, I have vpn in Sudan and the geo filter in New York.
Still I have a 43-59 ms in game and am connected in Eu.
I use vpn with wireguard protocol on my main router and have the netdumaR2 with the beta version behind it.

If you're trying to get around SBMM we can't help specifically with that and I don't know why you you would try that for any other reason

Please provide a screenshot of the VPN page & a zoomed out screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing when you get a game in the EU setup like that

I use Proton Vpn and a Wireguard protocol FRITZ!Box 7590.
I have connected Netduma behind my main router.
I used yesterday without VPN to test with the geofilter, unfortunately it did not work shows me no server also no more authenticated server in Dublin.

I disconnected the ps5 from the geofilter and switched it to pc on devices and restarted it added it again with ps5 resynchronised and waited 2 mins but nothing is happening.
I circled Miami without VPN with geofilter but doesn't seem to work.

Switching the PS5 to a PC would make it worse, should only be done the other way around.

Do this:

  • Quit the application/game/client completely
  • Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  • Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  • Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter
  • Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  • Wait 2 minutes
  • Boot up application/game/client

Make sure Ping Assist and Geo-Latency are disabled.

I have the new beta version for the netdumaR2.

What is Make sure Ping Assist and Geo-Latency are disabled.

Ping assist is always off, which option should be geo-lantency ? Can you send me a picture of which function this is?

I will send the picture of the provider of VPN and geofilter later.

i got a netduma r3 today.

i set it up the same way as netduma r2.

my question would be did i set ports for cod manually and put my ps5 in dmz mode.

i turned off geo lantency in geofilter and set ping assist to 0.

have circled spain with the simple method and strict mode activated. have only the filter mode off.

does it make sense to have these options activated for online shooters, see picture below.

can i turn off allow ping and the others too?

to what extent does it make sense to activate steady ping?

i play with vpn provider ProtonVPN.

  1. Use the DMZ or Port Forwarding, not both
  2. Having Filter Mode Off means you will not be Geo-Filtering, it will not impact what servers you get connected to
  3. You can disable Allow Ping if you like but you don't need to disable any of those options to improve your game experience
  4. Steady Ping stabilizes the ping so it doesn't fluctuate and you have a smoother experience, it adds ping so some people like using it, others don't, best to find what your experience is like with it enabled/disabled and decide from there
  5. I wouldn't suggest using a VPN when playing, your ping will be higher
