High Ping optimization R3

Recommended Posts

I have problem with internal ping to my network ( my actual ping are 5-6 ). In ping optimization shows as 22-24 which causes high jitter in side gaming

I tried to change MAC and return didn’t work.

would you please advise which server assigned for ping optimization and how can i change

That's your ping to that server, it doesn't mean that your ping to games etc will be that high or low, it's just to that specific server. If it's way off then you can just ignore it, any changes it makes to improve that ping will still apply/benefit your connection. It will not be the cause of jitter for your games, that'll be for other reasons - what is the ping you're seeing in game/on the Geo-Filter?

MAC address doesn't have anything to do with that so changing it won't make a different. It's not possible to change the server that is used - it's whatever the service we use deems to be the closest, I don't know what specific server that would be for you.

As long as you set the speeds you expect it won't be affecting you at all - it's like driving to two destinations, one destination is close so it only takes you 5 minutes to get there, the other is further away, it takes you 20 minutes. It doesn't mean your car is slow or under performing, it just means the distance is longer.

It could change at any time, I don't have that information to give you, we use measurementlabs for the test, it will decide at the time.

You cannot set a ping on the Geo-Filter and expect to get a game at that ping value unless you know and have connected to games before where you've had that ping or lower - have you had that happen before? Also keep in mind due to the time of year servers will be under more strain and so the ping can rise. Can you provide a screenshot of how you have the Geo-Filter page please?
