Superweeble
Hi all, Having a few issues with my Netduma. It’s a great router when it’s working but the issues below do take the edge off. 1. Geofilter stops recognising my PS5 each day, device is seen under network devices but not in geofilter, shown as grey offline. MAC address and IP address do not change. 2. When PS5 is recognised under ping it says ‘Stabilising’ and not ‘Stabilised’ quite often. Just seems to get stuck. 3. Network usage just stops working, realtime monitoring works, but can’t see hour/day reports for all devices Rebooting route helps but then a day later seems to start falling apart again. Really don’t want to factory reset as I have lot of devices I’ve named and a pain to have to all over again. Thanks.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Tuesday at 08:10 PM Administrators Share Posted Tuesday at 08:10 PM I've given you Early Access which should work better: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/ If on point 1 you're still seeing servers on the Geo-Filter etc then you can ignore that but it should be resolved on early access firmware. You won't be able to stabilize or even ping every server so that can happen. We're working on a new ping method that may improve this.
Superweeble
Hi Fraser, I applied that update but it did seem to make the router less stable. Locked me out a few times and kept hanging. I also started getting packets loss when using Speedtest.net which I’ve not had before. I’ve unplugged the Netduma and back to my ISP router alone now. I’ll wait for the next big update again I think and try again. I would say as an R1, R2, XR500 and now R3 owner this is a familiar pattern. I can’t ever genuinely really recall any prolonged periods of stability. The features are great when they work but very temperamental. I cannot recommend your products to my friends for this reason. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 9 hours ago Administrators Share Posted 9 hours ago It would be worth doing a factory reset on that version, depending on your previous version a lot will have changed
